Vision of UNWE
The Academic Publishing House of UNWE is a leading institution in the preparation and presentation of high-quality academic, educational, and scholarly publications by faculty and researchers, representing a significant part of the university’s intellectual capital. The publishing house operates as an innovative and independent entity, integrated into national and international networks of academic publishers. Its policies and development guidelines are directed by the Publishing Council. Through the digitization of processes, a modern multifunctional website, automation of document flow, and interaction with authors and clients, we ensure high efficiency and profitability of our activities, generating revenue for UNWE. The presentation of the publishing house’s scientific works at international exhibitions and their indexing in international scientometric platforms significantly contributes to establishing UNWE as the largest economics and business university in Bulgaria.
Editorial processing and review
Editorial processing of manuscripts, ensuring the implementation of transparent procedures for quality and independent peer review and plagiarism checking.
The publishing house follows strict ethical and scientific standards, collaborating with reviewers and editors with proven expertise in the relevant scientific field.
Registration of publications
Maintaining the registration of publications with the National Agency for International Book Numbering.
This ensures the official identification of each publication through an ISBN, which is a prerequisite for international distribution and bibliographic tracking.
Indexing in scientific databases
Ensuring the inclusion and indexing of scientific papers, monographs, textbooks and journals in international indexing platforms and scientific databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, DOAJ, ERIH+, CEEOL, RePec, CrossRef and others, appropriate for the specific scientific field.
This indexing increases the scientific visibility, citation and academic prestige of the authors and the university.
Multifunctional website
Development and maintenance of a multifunctional website.
The platform serves as a digital portal for publishing, searching, indexing and accessing academic publications, supporting integration with bibliographic databases and tools.
Digitization and electronic access
Digitization and provision of online access to its archived publications, including the preparation of electronic formats of books – audio, CD/DVD, free and paid access with different access levels.
This facilitates access to scientific information for a wide range of users – researchers, students, institutions and international partners.
Promoting publications
Presentation and promotion of UNWE publications and authors on social networks, university and specialized exhibitions, book fairs and other forums.
The goal is to increase the recognition and prestige of the authors and the university, as well as to reach new readers and partners.
Partnerships and collaborations
Partnership and cooperation with other academic publishing houses, their networks and related organizations in Bulgaria and abroad.
Cooperation includes exchange of good practices, joint publications, participation in international publishing projects and academic forums.
